Change in Traffic Pattern
🛑Traffic should enter the West Gate on Landfill Road and exit at the Deer Valley Road Gate.🛑
The Pend Oreille County Solid Waste Facility will undergo a scale replacement project beginning on or about July 13th, 2026, and continuing through approximately the end of September, construction schedules permitting.
🚧During construction, the facility will remain open and continue normal operations; however, customers should expect temporary traffic pattern changes and minor delays.
Traffic should enter at the Deer Valley Road entrance and exit the West Gate on Landfill Road.
County staff and contractors will work to minimize disruptions and maintain safe access for all customers throughout the project. We ask for the public's patience and cooperation by following all posted signs, traffic control devices, and directions from facility personnel while construction activities are underway.
The scale replacement project is necessary to improve the reliability and efficiency of the facility's operations and to better serve the residents and businesses of Pend Oreille County.
