2026 Office Closures:

Pend Oreille County Community Development Department will be closed:

• October 12th for Pend Oreille County All-Staff Training Day

• November 26th and November 27th in observance of Thanksgiving

• December 24th and December 25th in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 

The Community Development Department’s duties encompass the day-to-day assisting of people with development of their property and the long-term planning we do to help accomplish the goals for the future of Pend Oreille County. The Community Development Department’s tasks includes subdividing a property, boundary line adjustment, building permits, shoreline activities and other related activities. Much of the information related to this is located here on our webpage to assist the citizens of Pend Oreille County with issues and goals they might have.
