Welcome
The Pend Oreille County Board of Equalization (BOE) is an independent, quasi-judicial board, established to ensure property assessments are fair, accurate, and equitable. The Board provides a neutral process for taxpayers to appeal property value assessments made by the County Assessor’s Office. The BOE offers accessible and impartial hearings, available in person or virtually, where property owners may present evidence to support their appeal.
The Board consists of three appointed members with support from the Clerk of the Board. The Clerk of the Board is a county employee, however, she performs her duties under the direction of the Board (RCW 84.48.028).
