Human Resources Heading

The Human Resources Office plays a crucial role in supporting and managing the county’s workforce. Its key responsibilities include:

  • Employment Security: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations to protect job stability.
  • Labor & Industries Claims: Managing workers' compensation and related claims efficiently.
  • Personnel Records: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date personnel records.
  • Personnel Policy Administration: Overseeing the implementation and adherence to the county's personnel policies.
  • Employee Benefit Programs: Administering comprehensive employee benefit programs to enhance overall well-being and job satisfaction.

Additionally, the Human Resources Director serves as the designated ADA Coordinator for the county, ensuring accessibility and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The Human Resources Office is also responsible for receiving and processing County job applications excluding Civil Service (positions in the Sheriff’s Office).

Civil Service applications are designated applications received in the same location as the Human Resources Office but are processed by the Civil Service Chief Examiner. Civil Service applications cannot be submitted on-line.

Available employment opportunities are listed on our Jobs page, including Civil Service (employment in the Sheriff’s Office). Volunteer positions can be found on the Commissioner Page.

** If you have any technical difficulties with our online application submission, you can send your resume and attachments to HR [at] pendoreille.org (HR[at]pendoreille[dot]org). **
