Any Demolition/Remodel debris must be tested. These activities allow for the presence of asbestos, and the only way to know that the items do not contain asbestos contamination is for them to be tested.
Local asbestos testing labs:
A copy of the documentation stating that debris is asbestos-free must accompany each load that comes to the transfer stations. Loads that come into the transfer stations without proper documentation will be turned away until it is accompanied with proper documents. This protects the residents and Pend Oreille County against hazardous materials being disposed of at our transfer stations that we are not equipped or permitted to handle. Mountain Laboratories is recommended for testing by Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency.
Loads found to contain asbestos materials will be rejected. Any customers with asbestos materials are referred to Graham Road Landfill for proper disposal. Graham Road Landfill | Management Facility (Disposal) | WMSolutions.com
