Our Board is crucial to the success of our department. This is a wonderful way to give back to the community, spread awareness of the harmful effects of noxious weeds to Pend Oreille County, and contribute to the work done by the County Government. The County is divided into 5 districts, and the exact locations of each district can be found at this link or at the bottom of the page. Weed Board meetings generally begin at 2 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month in the Weed Board office located at 227 B S Garden Avenue, Newport WA.

The Pend Oreille County Weed Board is charged by Washington state law with the cooperative control and management of noxious weeds. For more information about this law click here. Through education, outreach and management measures, the board protects the Pend Oreille County ecosystem for everyone’s use and economic benefit. Weed Board offices are open and personnel in office available for consultation Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
