Position Overview
As a Family Partner, you will provide Wraparound Intensive Services (WISe) to families with complex behavioral health needs. Using personal lived experiences, you will support engagement, advocacy, and collaboration between families and WISe teams. Work takes place in homes and community settings, with a focus on helping families develop self-advocacy skills and navigate services effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support WISe-enrolled families, emphasizing self-advocacy and active participation.
- Collaborate with WISe teams, Child Family Teams, and community partners.
- Provide direct support through in-person meetings, phone, and approved communication methods.
- Maintain detailed records, confidentiality, and compliance with state regulations.
- Assist families in understanding and accessing WISe services.
- Individuals with lived experience may share their stories to educate others, advocate for change, or provide peer support to those going through similar challenges.
Qualifications
- 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Must have lived experience with family dynamics, firsthand, personal knowledge and insight gained from directly experiencing mental health challenges, illnesses, or conditions including navigating recovery, accessing care, and dealing with stigma. Lived experience helps to shape more empathetic, effective, and inclusive mental health services and approaches.
- Certification as a Washington State Peer Support Specialist (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers, including MS Office.
- Must pass background and driving record checks and adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
