Job Title: Temporary Parks Technician
Position Type: Temporary - Anticipated schedule: October through March - 4 to 6 hours per week and April through September - 20 hours per week with a limit of four months exceeding 69 hours.
Full Wage Range: $20.50 to $22.55 per hour
Hiring Range: $20.50 per hour
No benefits provided unless required by Washington State Law.
Job Summary :
Seeking a dependable and motivated individual for a temporary, part-time Parks Technician position responsible for hands-on maintenance of County parks, grounds, facilities, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to kneel, stand, squat, sit, and walk as required.
- Lift up to 80 lbs. and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. for extended periods or distances.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, small tractors, loaders, and other attachments.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and sharpen chains and blades.
- Hitch/unhitch trailers and safely load, secure, and tow tractors/UTVs.
- Clean and maintain restrooms and collect refuse.
- Perform general park grounds and facility maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Must have mechanical aptitude for minor work on equipment and use of power and hand tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public
- Must be able to perform work in an outdoor climate
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and driving record check via fingerprinting.
